Limescale in the water Water with a high chalky content not only clog the faucets but also attacks the structure of the shower and the coating, first forming bubbles on the surface which then cause the paint to peel off. Aluminium showers are particularly exposed to damage caused by too hard water. It is recommended that the precautions to be taken before winter or long periods of non-use as described in the instructions are observed with the utmost care. Another important precaution is to install an effective limescale filter and replace the cartridge frequently. If caused by frost and limescale, damage to the paint is not covered by the warranty.
